HELLO FROM THE STUDIO!

Hello talented painting friends!

I hope the summer has given you some opportunities for painting and art making. I know I've been pretty busy with my art. Oh and the joy of it all! Sighhh....

The studio is a beehive of activity. I've been teaching classes and getting ready for the Fall Schedule. Yep! Gotta think that far ahead.

I've expanded my decorative painting classes by adding mixed media art classes. These workshops are a big departure from the usual but more and more students have expressed an interest in original art making. It is quite a lot of fun.

Also, I'm introducing EARMARK POINTS. Kinda like Air Miles, except it will mean discounts off supplies AND workshops!! More information to follow shortly...

At this year's open house, there's a draw for a chance to win a twig tray painted by yours truly. I hope to see you soon.

OPEN HOUSE - WINE & CHEESE

Friday, Sept. 5 – 2PM to 7PM

Saturday, Sept. 6 – 10AM to 5PM

Sunday, Sept. 7 – 1PM to 4PM

All the workshop projects will be on display.

Here's the lineup so far!

FREE STUFF

If you haven't seen it yet, this is a FREE painting pattern I created a little while back.

I had a lot of fun with it. I love scissors holders; they're so handy! I have a student who plans on making a whole bunch and selling them in her gift shop. I think they'll be a hot item.

You can use any pretty papers for your background or just stain the wood.

It works up in no time at all!

If you'd like more free projects, just send me some theme ideas and what type of surface you'd like it to be on. I'll put my creative hat on and see what I can come up with! I can't resist a challenge! Here's where you'll find the scissors holder pattern and instructions.

I'D LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK!

Comments? Burning questions? Ideas? Feedback?

Come on let me have it! I’d love to hear from you.

Just reply to this e-zine and tell me what you think…maybe you’d even like to share a tip to be mentioned in an upcoming issue!
