THIS PROJECT IS IDEAL FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS!! Come for coffee and snacks and make a lovely collage from your own photo. You could use a photo of anyone you love or one of a complete stranger (as I have done with the image below). You can embellish with buttons, lace, ribbons and other found objects... whatever suits your fancy. This is a great "Mom and Me" project, if you have a teen who is crafty. Or just a fun outing for a bunch of girlfriends. If you love beautiful papers, you're going to love doing this workshop. All supplies provided! Come for coffee and muffins and paint a lovely decorative planter for your home or as a gift. I think this is one of the most ideal acrylic painting mini workshops to get the creative juices flowing! DATE:Wednesday, March 24, 2010 TIME: 10am to 1pm CLASS FEE: $20.00, includes the clay pot, use of paints and primer. You will need the 3 brushes listed below which are available for sale in the studio. #12 Flat #6 Flat #3 Round You will learn how to seal a surface and how to basecoat. You'll also learn to do comma strokes and s-strokes. We'll even do some colour washes and some dry-brushing! Watch the site often for other great acrylic painting mini workshops.
