At the time I did this acrylic painting, a dear friend who happens to love this flower was about to undergo some very serious surgery. Both canvases have gel medium spread randomly on them which made the painting quite textured, interesting and fun. And I'm happy to report that the surgery was a great success and she loves the painting!
