ARTIST TRADING CARD CONTEST
You and your friends are invited to enter our first annual Artist Trading Card contest sponsored by EARMARK Purrductions Creative Studios. Artist trading cards are miniature works of art, always 2½ x 3½" (6 x 9 cm), and are traded by all ages. So if you're a teacher, or a parent what a great way to get the kids involved!! The cards can be about anything and made with any media, materials, or techniques, just as long as they remain 2½ x 3½" (6 x 9 cm). It’s all up to the individual participant how they create the card. WHY THE CONTEST?
We're raising funds for PARENTS' LIFELINE OF EASTERN ONTARIO for their youth drop-in center known as The Source.The funds raised provide recreation and socialization for 16 to 25 year olds living with mental illness. This is a hugely underfunded area and every penny we raise counts. Anyone can participate. Simply create an ATC and mail it to : ATC CONTEST, EARMARK Studio, 3152 Stonecrest Road, RR2, Dunrobin, Ontario, Canada, K0A 1T0 Include the entry form (see link below) along with a donation in any amount. All donations no matter how small or large are greatly appreciated. You're not obligated to send a donation to participate in the contest. Your ATC is a donation in itself! All of the competing ATCs will be featured on this site and visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favorite. As well, a mini art show featuring all of the ATCs will be held at the Royal Ottawa Hospital in late July of 2010. Viewers there will also get to vote for their favorite ATC. The 2 cards with the most votes will be declared winners!!
WHAT'S THE PRIZE?
The FIRST PLACE winner will win ALL of the Artist Trading Cards submitted!!! As well, a booklet entitled: 20 to Make, by Leonie Pujol. It's a great booklet filled with techniques and ideas for making more Artist Trading Cards. The RUNNER UP wins the booklet. BOTH WINNERS will get their own web page on this site, featuring their winning entry. We will count up all the cards and add up the funds you sent in and share that information with you right here on this site! For all of the details, just download and print the
