Painting With Acrylics

Workshops And Classes

Workshops for
Spring 2019

Painting with acrylics is a wonderful hobby. There are no fumes, the paints dry quickly, you can add a variety of mediums to them so they take on properties similar to oils or watercolours.

I love acrylics and I use them in my decorative painting, like the projects featured below as well as in my mixed media art.

Please check back again as I continue to develop classes for the 2018 Winter/ Summer and Fall schedule.

I'll be adding more events not related to painting that I think will stimulate your creativity in new ways as well!

Coming soon... PLUS much more!

Cat Tails and Chrysanthemums - Acrylics

Design by Ginger Edwards

This is a wonderful project requiring some basic painting skills, like floating, dry brushing and stippling.  Homework is minimal.

This can be painted on a surface of your choice measuring approximately 6" x 34".

DATE: Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

SKILL LEVEL:  Intermediate

FEE: $48, includes use of all paints and a wholesome lunch.

"A Simpler Life" by Deb Antonick and Terry French

This project has been selected as a way of reinforcing floating skills.  If you haven't painted in a long time or you just wish you could improve your floated shades and highlights, then this is for you.  If you just want to be out painting for fun and relaxation, this would be a great choice too.

I love the message and the lighthearted design.

It is painted on a 10 x 15 canvas.  You could paint it on a tray, box lid, placemats or enlarge it to fit a fun floor cloth!

As you can see below, I modified the design to fit on a box. I even further modified the design to embellish the underside of the lid.  I love how it turned out!

DATE: Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

SKILL LEVEL:  Beginner +

FEE: $48, includes use of all paints and a wholesome lunch.
